As you step into your Teens

It’s that time of the year when,
 celebration calls, time & again.
This year needs special mention,
As you turn thirteen and seek attention!

The years seemed to pass in a flash,
As it were, a hundred-meter dash.
From the early crawls to the current hops,
From Bheem and Elsa to Bieber and K-pop
From feeble cries and innocent squabbles,
To fighting for your choice and causing trouble.

We reminisce each moment of the journey,
An emotional juggernaut - exiting, boggling and nervy!
We are proud of what you have achieved,
Explore your limits, in you we believe! 

Remember what we say next,
It will hold you in good stead!
As u step in teen,
Walk the talk & be seen!



It’s time to dream & create,
Push the bars, to seal your fate.
It’s also a time to rejoice & fantasize.
Live carefree, not overanalyse.

Time too for a funky hair do, some nails,
of trials & misses, see what prevails.
Time for pavlova’s and cream,
of hogging to hearts delight, not only in dream!

A tattoo here, a piercing there,
Streaks and beads if you so dare.
Also give some thought to spiritual awareness,
Prayer and meditation in all fairness!

Time for movies, time for books,
Oh, the exams in between, will keep you on tenterhooks!
Time for picnics, time for night outs,
Oh, those projects & papers- never a doubt!




These are the years to friend & unfriend,
Some for a lifetime, amid amends & extends.
These are the years for crushes & misses,
Nothing serious, just kisses & wishes.

Also, the years to learn trick of the trade,
Of dollar & cents, rupees & price,
Stocks & options, makes one rise.
It’s never too early for financial wisdom,
For dreams & stardom, in our kingdom!

As you step out of our shadows,
Figuring your identity & halo
Doubts may linger, u see haze around,
Give a shout, wave back,
Remember to fall on, after all we are a pack.

Life is a marathon, not a sprint,
Run at your pace, ask for hints.
Life’s not black & white, as it seems.
in Greys, learn to beam.

In moments of happiness, soak in.
In moments of victory, stay grounded.
In moments of failure, introspect.
In moments of despair, reflect.
Life is a vortex of energies,
Balance beautifully to create beneficial synergies.

This much insight should suffice,
Now time for us to be nice and entice.
Flowers, chocolates, and gifts galore,
Ready for you to cherish and adore.
We hope you have a memorable time,
Each moment, each phase be worth your dime!
