Arising With Bliss
Yearning for serenity of clemency
my restless heart breathed out despair sigh
due to iniquity-virus I couldn’t deny…
…I did long for pardon's healing efficacy.
Midst lurking skepticism of haughty pretense
my mind wrestled against unbelief bout
instilling confusion-angst and sure doubt...
… I then cried for truth's wondrous omnipotence.
With my soul gripped with worldliness' vanity
drifting along sin-damnation flow
sinking in depravity’s quagmire ready to swallow…
…I indeed sought for God’s rescuing security.
Anchored by Christ’s redeeming sacrifice
my faith triumphs in His love so gracious
granting me eternal life, verily precious…
…I now serve the Lord, while with radiant bliss, I arise*.
*Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
