Listen to poem:
The morning came, the earth was still
The empty cross up on the hill
The veil in two, the blood was spilled…arise
The heavy stone, now rolled away
The vacant tomb where His body laid
“He is not here,” the angel said…arise
Arise, arise, for the day has dawned, it’s a brand new tomorrow
Arise, arise, for thy light has come and the glory is risen upon thee
The men were sure their ship was lost
The great wind blew, the tempest tossed
Then Jesus woke and calmed the storm…arise
“Where were you Lord?” the woman cried,
“Four days ago our brother died”
“Just believe in Me,” He replied…arise
Arise, arise, for the wind and sea dwell in perfect obedience
Arise, arise, those who sleep in Christ though they die
Yet shall they be made again…alive
And one day soon the trump will sound
Our Lord shall come with a mighty shout
The church caught up into the clouds…arise
Forevermore to live with Him
With no more pain and no more sin
Well done child now enter in…arise
For eternity with the Lamb in jubilee
Blessed saints rejoice, praising God with single voice
While the mountains quake and the Lion roars
Safe through Heaven’s gate, Hallelujah!!
Lord, You’re everything beautiful
Amaranthine without equal
All the nations shall bow their knee
To the Dayspring, Eternal Messiah, King
And to those who believed You’ll say,
“Arise”
