Another Toast To Ploutos
How do I judge
people who wear fine clothes
with an attitude?
Hippocrates, nothing else!
I have worn trendy clothes
and made me look great,
many likes and compliments
I got that widened this
incredible smile part of my trait;
suddenly, sad eyes turned to happy eyes!
How do I deal with people
with excessive pride?
I become humbler than they should be,
and they never thought it was possible!
Being too proud keep us from being meek,
isn't this the true image most of us seek?
Can our humble attitude
be distinguished from that of the powerful
who amass fortunes to build another beautiful
mansion to satisfy their greedy
ego and be spoken of eloquently?
Will they experience inquietude?
I remain true to myself,
being glad for my achievements,
never feeling above the others who boast,
who pursue materialism with madness
and become self-proclaimed gods;
can their increase in wealth be another toast
to Ploutos who's different from a common elf?
