Annoyed at First Sight
I saw you, and I sighed,
With a glare I tried to hide.
"Who’s this person?" I thought with a frown,
In a crowded room, you turned me down.
You laughed too loud, your smile so bright,
I rolled my eyes, not wanting the light.
But as we talked, the fun started to show,
Annoyance faded; my heart said, “Let’s go.”
So maybe first glances aren’t all that they seem,
Sometimes annoyance hides a new dream.
In the moments we clash, something strong may ignite,
From annoyed at first sight to love that feels right.
