An Average Man
When he was just a baby
Upon his mama's knee,
He was smaller than an elephant,
And larger than a flea.
And when he was some older,
And had to go to school,
He was duller than a genius,
And sharper than a fool.
Then, when he was a young man,
In the prime years of his life,
He was younger than his mother was,
And older than his wife.
Now that he is middle aged,
He's really very glad
To be older than his grown-up son,
And younger than his dad.
