An Angel Kiss
A small white feather, dropped from the sky,
Landed above my knee, on my left thigh.
I picked up the feather, with delicate care,
An angels wing, had something to share.
I held it tight, and close to my chest,
It is from someone, who’d been laid to rest.
They’d become an angel, and paid a visit,
Someone close, who is now a spirit.
They came to me, to let me know,
That they were well, but had to go.
I wish I could send, something back,
To let them know, that I’m still on track.
I’m doing well, life has been kind,
My day has been great, their feather I’d find.
I wish I could have, just one more day,
With the ones I love, who’ve passed away.
But I’ll keep my feather, my gift from the sky,
As I walk on this earth, above us they fly.
My small white feather, from an angel above,
Put a smile on my face, from the ones I love.
