" AMENDMENTS " FROM MY ROOF GARDEN, MY PHOTO, ©

The last moment of his life came. The beyond anxiously awaited to receive him into Its eternal embrace. He was terrified! He asked for some more time. He wished for some amendments to make: Wrongdoings to make right; To give love to those he hated; To help those that were in need; To be truthful to those he betrayed; To ask forgiveness from those he hurt. Alas, Adamant was the Lord of the hereafter "Such requests can never be gratified," he said " You see the law of cause and effect is unforgiving. The balance of things should be maintained otherwise the harmony of the whole would be disturbed ." he added. " What you sow is what you reap " with emphasis declared. " Do not worry though" he continued. " On this side, absolute justice prevails for it is irrelevant if one is a king or a beggar, thus you will receive the right sentence but always with the agreement of your soul - God's ambassador in you- that will offer the final accurate testimony of your actions on earth, adding nothing and subtracting nothing ." he concluded! © Demetrios Trifiatis 17 May 2018

Hello Demetrios, Very well spoken. Reminds me of the parable Jesus told of the rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus suffered in this life and the rich man would not even give him scraps from his table and stepped over him as if he were nothing. When they both died perfect justice was served. Your poem reminds me that it is more blessed to love and show mercy. Oliver

It s a really powerful write, yeah it s absolutely true, as you sow so shall you reap, if you do good deeds you ll go to heaven, if bad then hell will wait for you, it s simple how can someone who has let his whole life in fear of God can have same destiny to someone who has led his whole life against God, what else we want in this world rather than making our God pleased, earn salvation and have a nice death, we are here for a nice death, good luck

A brilliant Personification Demetrios, one must always live life in a fair and just way, i am a great believer in Karma, what goes around comes around. For some it doesn't though, so it will be up to God and His final judgement in the end. A definite fave for me with these words of Wisdom of yours....Maria xxx
