Alive With Hope This Mortal Flesh
Alive With Hope This Mortal Flesh
Soon when storm its angry breath blows
Its drumming raid tells earth to feel
And earth's grass spreads its dark green toes
Sky cries out, this is a new deal
Alive with hope this mortal flesh.
Although this soul may then tap-dance
Tho' so well I feel thrashing rain
And this heart exudes sweet romance
This soul yet cries out its dire pain
Alive with hope this mortal flesh.
Gleam so bright dearest Rainbow
Beg I, heaven this soul uplifts
I love her so dear, miss her so
But truth is she ran away swift
Alive with hope this mortal flesh.
As the splatter hits downcast face
Her rare perfume I can yet smell
Truth knows life cannot her replace
My all, feels in torturous Hell
Alive with hope this mortal flesh.
Heart begging to find love anew
Its hungry beats seeking true love
But memory says, I miss you
As I ask help from Lord above
Alive with hope this mortal flesh.
Yet in each night flies that dark hour
Which 'tis born of deepest despair
I watch as falls stormy shower
Thinking of her beautiful hair
Alive with hope this mortal flesh.
Yet this soul knows life shall return!
As I now these love letters burn!
Truth lives and loving now I earn!
A brand-new life, heartache I spurn!
Alive with hope this mortal flesh!
