Ain'T Enough Whiskey
Ain’t enough whiskey in the world to ease my sorrow
Ain’t enough whiskey here to soothe my troubled mind
Might just be enough to get me through to tomorrow
Forget my every worry, leave them all behind… for a time.
Ain’t enough time tonight to get a little distance
Ain’t enough time to close the doors to the past.
Maybe I can find a way, it’s all about persistence.
Time’s all I got tonight, but it’s not going fast.
Ain’t enough noise in here to stop myself from thinking
Ain’t enough noise, all the echoes still remain
Seems a little silly, to sit alone just drinking
When all the booze in this here bar could never ease my pain.
Ain’t enough hope in my heart to get me home now.
Ain’t enough hope that you’ll be waiting for me there.
Too tired of it all to even try dialing the phone now.
But still honest enough to admit I still care.
Ain’t enough whiskey in the world to ease my sorrow
Ain’t enough whiskey here to soothe my troubled mind
Might just be enough to get me through to tomorrow
Forget my every worry, leave them all behind… for a time…
for a time…
for a time…
