Abandoned

Abandoned
I have read and told little white lies to bring smiles to faces of old folk, abandoned! I have reared lambs and calves and piglets too, not knowing why they were abandoned? I have seen left wrapped up warm, with a note, which gives a name of the babe abandoned! I've rescued and successfully reared carrion crow chicks when a farmer shot the mum and dad, which left them abandoned! Been tempted to pick up tawny owl chicks, which whilst on the ground looked abandoned; did pick them up and placed them safely where mum and dad could find them. A long time ago fell out with religion, even to this day I look around and see the poor souls it has abandoned. Oh yes, I do have faith, in one, Mother Nature, it so breaks my heart to find that in all she has done for us, she too, is now being, yes, abandoned! Unless we learn to live in harmony with the earth it will be us left abandoned without any food. A profound poem with a wonderful message Mick. Congratulations on your deserving first placement! : )

The latest in my area whole lanes stripped of hedges & mature trees y Costs councils less 2 maintain, I'm not joking everywhere I look It's tantamount 2 felling a forest if all local councils are adopting that as a method 2 reduce their cost crazy Oh! & I mustn't 4get their health and safety policy, I tell you they no not what they do & how about this then the local park attendant responsible 4 maintaining the herbaceous borders & its general tidiness retired Well the litter problem was kept under control however the borders were not the solution STRIM them Them & me devasted
