A Willow Weeping
for i am a willow weeping,
tissues of regret free fall
down into the reverie of
a sorrow only i can comprehend
i sleep withered in autumn,
still weeping, i wipe the rain-
winter is feared and spring
is the time i flourish once more
i mourn in the morning-
mossy vines creep up
my barren branches;
i am left touched by debris
my blades float in the
breeze with much ease-
they envelope me with
the hope i’ve always longed for
for i am but a weeping willow tree-
with my bark crying tears you can’t see
