A Walk To Remember
late evening
after a bright sunny day
suddenly clouds gathered
sun was hidden, just before
it could call it a day
cool breeze started blowing
trees started swaying and dancing
swaying my mood too
I decided to take a walk
went to the nearby market
just as I began walking back
thick blobs of raindrops
started falling, I walked on
loving the pitter patter on my head
drops fell on my back, my arms and my face
I was thrilled didn't once look for shelter
although soaked to the skin
I kept walking back
just as I reached my gate
rain stopped
leaving me to wonder if God
intervened to give this heavenly feel
it now is a part of my memory
something to fall back on ,on a hot summery day.
