A Trip of Firsts and a Trip of Lasts
Las Vegas. We will have a blast! Have your husband get us tickets.
My husband got them, encouraged me greatly.
All was terrific.
Las Vegas never sleeps.
But we did.
With blinking lights, car horns, and a constant drone
Outside the windows.
So we barely slept.
We went to some shows.
The Beatles "love" show was awesome.
David Copperfield's magic show still has me amazed.
I let out a scream from hell when he appeared in front of me
Several hundred feet from the stage where he just disappeared.
I had blisters on my feet by hour two.
By day two I was running around Vegas in slippers
Because my feet were too swollen to wear shoes.
I was limping and leaning on my friend, miserable.
We were up early. No one else seemed to be.
We saw people sleeping on the sidewalk.
One or two had their butt cracks in the air.
I would have covered them but there are no blankets.
Vegas is a place you need to see,
But I would not recommend going there more than once.
The food is inexpensive, but the buffets cost more than a limo ride.
The people are accomodating, but full of bad directions.
We got too silly at gambling machines, and ended up leaving our shared
Cup of quarters in a casino. Driving there was treacherous and awful.
Last vacation with a friend I had traveled with yearly up until
This trip. Vegas - a trip of firsts and a trip of lasts.
