A Tribute To Eminem
Without you there's no doubt I'd be
a man without this poetry,
you brought the artist out of me,
my rhymes make up your legacy.
The millions that you got through too
took comfort that they felt like you,
writing songs that are pure and true
easing minds as Churchill would do.
Your songs in which you're sad or fume
have never needed Auto tune,
as you change the minds that assume
you're nothing but a mouthy loon.
Lost yourself in the moment and grabbed it,
but have never used your songs to brag it,
too busy writing lyrical magic
and overcoming all those bad habits.
When written off you always return,
and spit sick lyrics but some don't learn,
the rest of them all live concerned,
your status was no gift but earned.
A man that called himself Slim Shady
inspired and found the poet in me.
As I hyper focus and rhyme with ADHD,
feeling hopeless goes unnoticed and I am set free.
With all the rhymes that I have penned
I'm nothing but a Stan 'til the end,
I don't know you but you're a friend,
Marshall Mathers, a living legend.
