A Place I Use To Know

Peeking, purple, petals, poking through the grass, Snowdrops dangling, creamy white through an ivy mass. Time worn stairs, foot prints with a face, Leading to a wooden porch; A slouch, a tilt, a timeless grace. Date: 3/3/22 For: Bite-size Poem No. 38 Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Line Gauthier

Thanks Paula~yes, I visited a woman many years ago, the truest picture of a sweet gentle woman, slouched with age. When I arrived, she asked if I had seen the Snowdrops in her garden. She was an inspiration to me, every time I visited. :)Paulette

Sometimes bite-size captures a whole course, and that first line, what a lovely starter, and the last lines a meal well enjoyed . . . ; )

Thank you Milton~ This is a home where I visited with an elderly lady who always inspired me. One day, when I visited, she asked if I had noticed her lovely Snowdrops (flowers), at the entrance....of course I did....and so the poem came to life. :)Paulette
