A Miracle
This world today is a hurting place
We have to manoeuvre it with grace
Penning about cats, dogs, trees, leaves, and everything in between
Trying to survive and not be mean
Sunsets, sunrises, and young love
Trying to skirt issues and not feel the need for boxing gloves
The trouble in the world is human beings
The wars, the homeless, poverty, bias, judgments—we need healing
Everything wrong in the world is man-made
The earth has been betrayed
Pointing fingers at one another
The list of dirty laundry is like no other
We need the beauty of the earth
A miracle, and so is our birth
United we stand, divided we fall
What will be your call?
The world will never be fair
How can it be when we find it hard to share?
I still believe in you and me
It is the only way we will ever be free
