A Lonely Cloud Forsaken
i wandered LONELY as a cloud,
wearing rain like a fedora-
no sunkiss can be a soft kiss...
when stuck in a storm like this
f o r s a k e n in the sky-
mighty eagles in flight soar,
they know i will cease to exist at any moment;
for i shall become a shape of another-
once baby blue,
now grazed inside the grey of day;
swirls of loss encompass,
and all who see me shall see me no more
sacrificing all the sunlight
that shined in my eyes-
being more than i am
shall never be embraced
perpendicular passion for life-
though ephemeral in holy hosts,
the heavens shan’t message ghosts
for time dances around my emollient stature,
never knowing the fear that may follow-
there is no wanting in giving,
no preparing for living
i seek the rainbow that follows the reign of pain-
always feared this day would arrive,
the day i become…
a LONELY cloud wandering
