a Dangerous Job

If she can live any way she wants She will live dangerously, like a daredevil Her parents knew this, but did not know Her role in the circus would be a blind-folded target While a guy threw knives at her This is not okay, they told her. They were shaken up. It’s fine, she said. It’s the best gig I have ever had. And if he hits me I get to throw a knife back. This makes it better? It does to me. Did I mention she was not their smartest child?
