A Beautiful Mystery
Crystal, pale, azure blue eyes
clear as the infinite skies.
Jumping in for a swim
in reflections of stars.
When dimples delight,
a grin from ear to ear.
Hair of burnt umber.
Skin of porcelain.
Lost for words,
drinking you in.
Touching,
Tasting,
Delighting,
Exciting.
Yearning for more.
Intoxicated, am I.
Wanting you here
when I sleep at night.
If only in dreams…
can this truly be real?
A part of you,
eternal in me.
Flames welling up;
spring to the surface.
A soul-longing burn
now is ignited.
A beautiful mystery
--no holding it in--
shining so brightly
for all to see.
