I wrote this on holiday in America and as it turned out, three days before I was hospitalised in West Virginia with a heart 'event'. I still feel blessed when I look at the photos that I took on that day.

What a beautiful day is today, Sun and mist have both had their way. Deer darting through the trees, Warmed by a summer breeze, What a beautiful day is today. I’ve seen the mountains in a misty blue haze, A natural bridge, a seventh wonder did amaze, Spoke with Monacan Indians who welcomed me And the waters of the rivers, rippled, running free. What a beautiful day is today, Every now and then a golden ray Lit up the smile upon your face In this fabulous place, What a beautiful day is today. I’ve seen the wheel turning at Mobry Mill, I’ve seen the nearby pond reflecting, still; The Indian colours, I’ve come to know Cochineals from beetles and Lindo Mose’s indigo. What a beautiful day is today, I’ll remember this forever and say, ‘The beauty and you my dearest love, And give thanks to the Lord above. What a beautiful day is today.
