Inside My Favorite Jacket

One night, my family and I went to a river to gaze at the fireworks up high. It's the Fourth of July. After an hour, we moved to the other side of the river and stood on the dry line of rocks. Later we lied down as we stare at the dark sky. More fireworks from everywhere came out for display. We were all fascinated with the spectacle of different shapes and colors of the comet-like festivities in the air. I removed my jacket and laid it on a big rock and swam for a while that night. After an hour, the whole family decided to go home. I forgot my jacket, left on the big rock. I only remembered my lost jacket the following day when I woke up. The river we visited is only five miles away from our house. I just used my bike to go back in the said river for my jacket. Nobody was in the river when I arrived there. My jacket was still there on top of the big rock, picked it up and returned home. I put my jacket in the closet then slept early evening. I was awakened while sleeping on bed that night. I heard something inside my closet. I didn't bother to get up and so I slept again after winking. After about half an hour, I heard something inside my closet again. I stood up and saw a blinking thing inside the closet. I presumed it's just my light toy I bought sometime ago so I dozed in my bed again. Early morn the next day, I went to school without my favorite jacket on -- leaving it inside the closet at home. After school class, I went home straight to my room. I heard a strange voice inside my closet and opened it. Nobody was there so I closed it. I went to the bathroom, taking a shower and started singing. I can feel something is moving inside my bedroom, hearing a soft strange voice talking to me. After bathing, I noticed there's something blinking inside my closet again. When I opened it, a petite bright colored-chameleon appeared before me... nodding at me. I frowned and wondered where it came from. I presumed the chameleon hid inside one of the two pockets of my jacket when I left it in the riverside one whole night. I can hardly believe what I've been seeing and hearing in front of me... a talking, singing and dancing chameleon???!!! The small chameleon is a female one. She said that she can make a lot of changes in my life. I said I am not dreaming too much in my life as long as I earn whatever I get in life. She said her name is Elizaveta and that she came from outer space. "What???!!!" I yelled. The chameleon is telling me different things. Everything about her world and who she was before becoming a chameleon until she landed on earth. "Okay. I believe you." I told her that if she would need something to go back to her previous world I'm very willing to help. She said I don't have to provide anything for her except offer her my friendship and trust As days go by, we became like partners in almost everything. I kept her as a secret to my family because that was her small request, keeping herself alive while still on earth. I promised Elizaveta that she will not be harmed by any human so long as she stays close to me. I have no special powers like her, but I can keep her safe all the time. Elizaveta showed me a crystal ball, so small, but she can make it big at midnight showing me things happening around me. She is trying to show me things that she learned in her world that not even geniuses on earth can comprehend. I told her I am just an average normal person. I am not even one-fourth of her wits. "That's the reason why I'm here. And why you that I met, I didn't know too?... Maybe God has a lot more reasons that even both of us never thought of having!" she said. "Every night, I also pray to God. Just like what you humans on earth do." I was surprised. She continued, "Whatever you dream of, never stop reaching that dream. You may fail a thousand times or even more, but never give up! I am here not to make magical things for you to believe. You have your own natural powers within you. Everything in everyone's body are special powers. You only need to discover them and make good use of them." "How will I know?" I asked. "Only time can tell when your own natural powers will come out and where you can use them. Make good use of your natural beauty, talent and skills. Be an inspiration to the World despite the chaotic, complicated and corrupted situations people are already in right now!... God is above everything. He only gives rewards, not punishment, to those who recognize Him."
