Zest was a thing of beauty.

Pity that time does cruel things to mortal beauty. Decay is inevitable.

Zeal had a simple desire: to court Zest and love her. But it was not to be.

Zest had a mind of her own. In truth, a wild child unhindered by routines. Mad as the free wind that cannot be contained. Only unleashed.

Unrequited love is simply sad. Zeal was on a collision course with a one-sided reality. Nothing reciprocal about her feelings for him except agony and pain.

He offered to be her soul mate. She rejected him. A sad fate.
~~~~~~~~~
Now fear is as primal as love. Oftentimes, opposites do not attract. Such is the metaphor that binds our destiny.
