Cheryl Story

Cheryl sat outside after a long day of work as a firefighter. She was feeling burned out from her job. She had been working as a firefighter since age 16 and now she was 25. She had a strong work ethic and had never taken any sick days. She was always on time to work and always willing to work over time. But these days work was tiring. Cheryl knew she wanted a different job. She wanted to go to college and become an ESL Teacher. It’s what she thought of a lot. she stared at her garden in which sat her plants, she stared at the twigs on the ground and kicked the dirt with her foot watching the dust swirl around her. The next thing Cheryl knew was that it was dark and she could hear crickets. She got up went inside and said to herself today is the day that I am going to start on my dream journey to become an ESL Teacher and nothing and no one can stop me.
