As the wave crashes
|
First time writing in years
Hiding footsteps of lovers
Stealing pockets of memories
Contouring the dunes, the heath and the shrub
Traversing worlds, both earth and sea
Meandering streams cut into the shallows
Engulfing the shore, the sand and the ashes
The lovers remain
Silhouettes in the distance
As the wave crashes, the memories lost
