Contest Description

What to Submit?

One form I rather enjoy writing is LIST poetry. The way I want it done in my contest is for you to use couplets (personally, I prefer them rhymed and of course, with great imagery). Each couplet uses only two lines (and to be sure people understand what I mean by a line - it's the typical meaning of not going past the end of the right margin) . I judge from a computer, so make sure people will read only two lines per couplet. You may write from three to ten couplets. If you write more or less than that, your poem will be eliminated. Since each couplet takes two lines, you are allowed from 6 to 20 lines of poetry using one of the following nouns, adjectives or color words listed below.

Last rule: You must choose between the following titles, and follow the form the way I used it in my poem SOFT (https://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/soft_1627360 . The word or color that you choose must be the TITLE of your poem. My example poem SOFT goes over twenty lines, so be careful not to write more than ten couplets(20 lines) in YOUR list poem.

Use one of the following words: Happiness/ Silly/ Horrible/ March/ Summer/ Winter/ Blue/ Yellow/ Red

Prizes: Multiple placements depending on how everyone does.

First Prize, Glory

Third Prize, Glory
Twelve Honorable Mentions
