Wages of Sin

As darkness begins to surface
Feeling hopeless even worthless
What's my purpose?
In this there is no happy ending
Feeling lost from the beginning
Life full of un-accomplishments
Never receiving any compliments
Who's got room for a lost soul?
Tell me!
I'm at the bottom of the totem pole
Doubts too heavy I can't carry this load
Give me directions!
I'm trying to get off this long dark road
No end in sight, searching for light
All I see is night
Tell me, Is there any hope for me?
Surely this ain't the way things are suppose to be
But apparently
I'm a wreck and I'm talking about emotionally
I just dropped a heavy load as I proceed to walk
I turn around and it's my body outlined in chalk
