Crime of Colour

Guilty by birth,
A citizen by a vote
A right that took centuries for women to exercise
A narrative that still paints societies

In two opposing colors
With tension simmering underground
And the quack so profound.
Divisions, discord, and decadence
Trust thinning frivolously
With institutions systematically sidelining one end
With some Colors more colorful than others,
In a world they paint the same Walls.

Isn’t this inexplicable, squandering millions building walls?
Barring rodents from Mexico crossing only to pick crusts off the master’s plate.
I still wonder, what happen to equality
The fundamental slice to humanity.
A quest dawned since inception of time.
I still wonder…

The world plunged into confused peace
With gangs, guns, and gallants
Of men and women in uniform
With their riffles pointing at us.
What happened to the oath?
To serve and protect
Isn’t that your duty?
Why have you changed
Making deals with the devil.

Unleashing your wrath on innocent civilians
Falsifying their charges,
Deliberately mistaking their identity
Making them guilty in their innocence.

I still don’t understand, the courage to choke a man...
In the eyes of a camera,
I still don’t understand why you refused him to breath
I still don’t understand the courage to stand and watch the man pleading,
I still don’t understand the brutality of a police officer in uniform,
I still don’t understand why call an ambulance when you opened the wound
I still don’t understand why you stopped the people to help
I still don’t understand why justice is specific to Colors
I still don’t understand why some people are more equal than others...

Lets all rise for 8 minutes 49 seconds!
