It Was Not Meant to Be
A soft melody quietly comes into my head
It brings back memories and things I unfortunately should have said
A warm summer night a hint of a breeze
The gentle touch of his hand in mine
All felt so right yet, it was all not to be
I was a young girl broken hearted and sadly alon
He was this young man who gave me his courage to be strong
We were the perfect couple almost everyone agreed
He gave me happiness and joy
I vowed I would love him eternally
And then suddenly one day it happened
And after that moment the perfect couple sadly came to an end
And though years have passed and I think of him still
I still remember that young boy who in my darkest hour was there for me
He was my knight of shinning amour
He was my Bobby
