Smile For Me

I hope someday
when I have gone
and you’ve kept on your way
Every once in awhile
those lips wear a smile
for the days we loved away

All of the best
little things of our life
That’s what I’m hoping for you
In the end
they were all
the best reasons I lived
One day you’ll come to know too

Remember how we would say
“weekend starts now!”
headed for deep decompression
Finding a series
that kept us awake
and sharing our mini obsession

We all get surprised
when we all realize
the love was the only real part
So find love again
with a person who can
and don’t close the doors of your heart

Just give me a smile
every once in awhile
and call it a tribute to living
and make sure you show
everyone in your life
that love is all we have worth giving
