The Wash

The wash
Hits so fast.
Feels like a metal wave rolling over me
Covered in a suit of molten steel
Changes how you feel.

Don't care.
About anything but me.
I'll pretend to listen
If you got a story, just please
Don't bore me.
That's what has become of us.

Not for me.

This bird has flown
Into a new sky
One with problems
But no lies.

Don't lose control
It feels like the best pair of slippers
Warms your feet, seems to deliver
A sense of inhibitions.

Freedom
Control
Multiverses
Souls

All require armour
Made of love
Mixed with steel
The wash always changing
How we feel.
