Existence
I was 20 and then I grew 30.
I plastered into small spaces searching for meaning.
Flew with dragons, studied 4 years plus one pretending I was enough.
Talked and talked while hiding under black umbrellas.
Fell in love, got a job.
Travelled to space and back in the depths of my shallow mind.
But it wasn't enough.
I opened my eyes 20 and blinked 30 times.
Experienced and revisited well-worn figments of my imagination.
Worked night shifts in filthy bars
and by day wrote unexplained codes for faceless start-ups.
And days went on and on.
Until I was no longer 20 and I was 30.
Caught in a number, trapped in a body.
Until I was no longer.
