Being Human

Being Human

Blind as a bat, some humans can be
Energies are lost somewhere along the way
Initially our ideals are not being so true
Nor do most human beings are forthright
Giving in to any evil temptations

Honesty should be our richest goal in life
Underestimating our own self worth
Makes our life seem fragile to others
An estimation of our self esteem
Novelty is ours to hold and reach out and teach
                                       God's Golden Rule.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Hello Theresa, Thanks for your recent comment on one of my latest poems!! The words of your Acrostic "Being Human" are indeed quite poignant as they are descriptive and appropriate. Yes!! I certainly agree, as you've said, that "Honesty should be our richest goal in life." One's self-worth is paramount too!! Excellent Poem!! Best Wishes, Gary
