A love like Icarus

My dearest love if you’re reading this then the bells have tolled the angels have sung,
it must be over but know that I loved you like Icarus had loved the sun…burning and bright,
we knew how it would end with flames to wing blinded by light,
I was so In love I didn’t care that your touches burned my skin,
so in love it never hurt..my passion burned more within.
Delighted that our love lasted even if for a while,
even as I fell engulfed by your flames on my face was a smile, for no other has known a love so passionate they loved until it burned… eventually killed , no other has know a love so passionate their soul was fulfilled.

I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
