Invisible Foe

In world war 1 and 2
We knew what what we were up against
But this world war 3 is invisible
Which adds to the angst
We are told to stay indoors
stay indoors all day
But when you have no garden
Lying down in parks
Doesn't give you pardon
One hour of exercise only
2mtr apart dont touch!! no,no
For fear of getting or passing
on this invisible foe
We should not complain
We are relatively safe
But the boys and girls in blue are
working at the face
Not forgetting the elves working to give us food
upon the supermarket shelves
And the silent little workers making PPE
Just to protect the likes of you and me
They are giving their lives
not against guns, oh no
But against this invisible foe
Please God ?? let us get through this
By the only way we know
Stay at home to wage this war
Against this invisible virus.

You have written a true tale of the woe of the world....Let's hope it soon comes to pass, that we no longer will be in a lockdown that impedes our way of life. God Bless, Paulette

Fine write Jacqee, thankfully now approaching spring things may be improving. This has good imagery and insightful thought too. Good to meet a fellow Brit, I'm North of the border. Take care, Gordon
