Happy Fathers Day To My Son

Son even though you are far away

I'm writing this little poem

To say I love everything you have to say

Even though I don't take a lot of time to call or listen

I love you everyday that goes by

And I know saying I love you

It doesn't happen all that much

I will always care and love you forever

With all my heart

All I want to tell you

Thank you for being my son that always care

I know in our lives these days

There is not a lot of sons like you

I just want to say I	

Will always love you

Another One Gone

A young boy walks down a dark city street
His headphones on as he walks with a beat
For some reason he keeps on looking back
Because in his jacket there is a bag of crack
He keeps on looking for a buyer
In his very short life the boy has no priors
Turning on another dark street a dark car pulls up
All he can think is the police trying to set him up
The young man in the car ask if I have some 
The young boy turns  and pretends to play dumb
The man says you know what I mean
The young boy didn't want to cause a scene
Then the boy reached behind his back
And said you want some crack?
Then the young man in the car pulled out a gun
And then the boy just looked up and was stun
The boy tried to run
He knew this deal was finally going to be done
The young boy can hear a sound
As his body just hit the ground
All he could see is his blood all around
Another young boy gets killed
I don't know maybe he just doesn't have the skills
He was just trying to make ends meet
And try to get some food for his family to eat
But all that ever seems to happen
Is another young man passing
And another family sadden

THE KING IS GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

For the rest of my life, you will never be forgotten
Every day I will think of you again and again
My love for you will always be
And that will always be a guarantee
I know with all the love in my heart
Our hearts will never stop and being apart
Your heart will always shine
And our love for each other will never fall behind
Whatever the future brings
I know all of my tears will disappear
I will always remember your big smile
It always fits your perfect style
In your very short time
I feel you were a big legend to our family
And especially me
Your life was cut so very short
For all of us in our lives, this was our biggest lost
There were always funny things you would say
It seemed like it was every day
You will always be in my heart where you will stay
Today and every day
We still have fantastic memories
Which our hearts will never heal
The king is gone
But in our hearts will never be forgotten

DOG LADYBUG FROM HEAVEN

A ladybug landed on me today
This ladybug never wanted to fly away
This special ladybug landed on my arm
I knew it never meant any harm
I was always told ladybugs come from heaven
To help people with depression
Supposedly the dog angels send ladybugs
For healing and good luck
I know this is my Sadie who came to make me smile
Because this was always Sadie's special way and style
I will always remember this special day and time
And wait another day for Sadie to send her next special sign

FIND THE COST OF FREEDOM


How much does freedom cost?
Our young soldiers go and fight and get shot
How did this war even start?
What drove these countries apart?
There are so much pain and tears
Over all these years we had to say a lot of prayers
Are we losing too many soldier who are fighting
Or do more of our soldiers arriving
When will we stop hearing the bombs and shooting sounds
Or are more of our young soldiers have to be put in the ground
There are no real answers to stop this war and threats
We must always remember our soldiers and never forget
This world is full of hate
And every day there is a new conflict to face
Just remember freedom costs too much blood and lives
That leaves our loved ones at home with a lot of tears

ADOPT AND RESCUE A CAT OR DOG

Adopt and rescue a cat or dog today
Don't wait for another day
Every cat and dog needs a forever home
So they can have a place to roam
All dogs and cats need love and security
And all dog and cat owners need that to be a priority 
Some dogs and cats will never get a second chance
Adopting or rescuing a dog or cat will have a great impact
Maybe you will see that certain dog or cat today
And in your heart, you will want to whisk them right away
You can make a dog or cat their life the best
And you will know in your heart that you were blessed
Remember if you are looking for a rescue pet
Please stop by a shelter and that would always be your sure bet
Remember give those dogs and cats a life
And in the end, they will give you an unforgettable life of love

TO MY GROWN CHILDREN

TO MY GROWN CHILDREN

For my four children I've been working
Almost every day
There was never enough time to play with you
There were baseball games, dance recitals
That you wanted me to come to
But with all the time working
There was never enough time for any of you
On weekdays and weekends, I had to do my chores
So it left very little time for you four
I may always say maybe the next time
Which I might have said so many other times
Sometimes I had to work all night
And I wouldn't see you to the next morning light
I know our lives are short, and days go by fast
And all your children grow up in a flash
Then I finally realized that my children
Are no longer by my side
And now I no longer have to provide
I still have pictures I can still look at
Showing me the past and the laughter
I'm retired now and once I was so busy
Now all my body and hands are still
And for me, these days are too quiet and hard to kill
I wish I could go back into the past
And change all the ways I reacted
And for my four grown children
I want to say I'm sorry, and I want to say you are all
One in a million and I love you all

LUCKY STAR

Every time I look at my lucky star
I always knew you were never that far
I want to thank the heavens
So I can show you my best impressions
You are forever in my life
As my beautiful wife
We were always meant to be
Even though there are times we disagree
We always had a beautiful life together
From the worst times to the better
I guess you can say we were perfectly paired
And in this world, there is no one else to compare
I always knew you were the only one
I guess you can say I hit a home run
My life without you would be incomplete
And I know from the beginning
 I would not go down in defeat
With all of what our family went through
I would have never found a better you
I know in my heart for sure
That our love will always be pure
You were the only one I needed
For my life to be fully complete
I know we have such a loving bond
I know our love will go eternity and beyond

EASTER SUNDAY

We have lost so many family and friends over the years
That has left us with so many tears
For all of us, Easter means hope
All around the globe
Easter love will always come from the heart
It's a chance for your heart to restart
And for your family and family never be apart
Easter is one big celebration
That will always be from generation to generation
Easter should always be a special day
We pray for the almighty father
Besides Easter God should always be honored
So have a great Easter
And remember each day to pray

EXPECTING TO FLY

EXPECTING TO FLY

You watch outside the window at the bird's nest
Watching the baby bird leaning on the mother's breast
I want to give the mother and baby a wave
But I think they just want to rest before they engage
The baby is still very young
And the young bird flying has just begun
I know the baby bird flying will start slow
But it's just nice watching this little bird start to grow
The baby bird is just starting to stand
Without its mother lending a helping hand
When the baby bird starts to fly
It won't start very high
And I hope it will not be the bird's last goodbye
It was a rainy day at dawn
And I looked outside and they were gone
I don't know where they flew to
All I know they just flew the coup
