Confusion of Colours

What colour am I?
Am I red, like the ruby in a ring?
Or orange, burning bright, flickering from the fire?

What colour am I?
Am I yellow, sour as a lemon, piercing my tongue?
Or green, envying the beauty of others around?

What colour am I?
Am I blue, sunken deep into the ocean?
Or purple, reigning above all?

I am not just one,
and I need a REALLY good pun
for you to understand what I am.

For I am rare.
I come with rain and shine.
Maybe now you know my name.

Because I am happiness and joy.
I am hope and faith.
I am all. I am rainbow.

If Only I Could Go

If only I could go
where no one would know
about where or who I am.

If only I could go
where the wind gently blows
like my mother's hair in the wind.

If only I could go
where it is peaceful and tranquil
and doubts melt like lemon drops.

If only I could go
To an amazing kaleidoscope
of colour and joy.

If only I could go
where my spirit can run free
like a wild horse in the west.

If only I could go
where no one would know
about where or who I am.
-Millie Cooper.

Dance

Dance

I have been dancing
since I was young.
Point,
Flex.

From Ballet class
to tap.
Shuffle
Hop
Step,
Point,
Flex.

Moving to NYC,
and starting hip hop.
Pop it,
Lock it,
Shuffle
Hop
Step,
Point,
Flex.

Then, the grand style,
Broadway, like the show girls (just for 8+ year olds)
High
Kick,
Pop it,
Lock it,
Shuffle
Hop
Step,
Point,
Flex.

Back to ballet,
suck in your stomach for the Nutcrackers.
Suck
In,
High
Kick,
Pop It,
Lock it,
Shuffle
Hop
Step,
Point,
Flex.
