To Darren - Some Stars Shine Brighter

SOME STARS SHINE BRIGHTER
Some stars shine brighter Some waves crash stronger Some winds blow warmer Some days are lovelier Some friendships are eternal... During our lives we meet a lot of people But some will conquer a special place in our hearts They'll be the ones for whom We'll fight a little harder We'll cry a little stronger We'll cheer a little louder We'll worry a lot over They are the ones That will always be there for you Laughing with your happiness Holding you during your tears Some are in the same city Others on a continent away The distance doesn't matter For we carry them always In our minds and in our hearts So they're never really far away from our thoughts So my dear and sweet friend Thank you for allowing me in your life For always be there for me Thanks for being my rock You've a heart of gold The most beautiful soul Your light shine thru your poems Your care and attention thru your words I'll be always here for you too Cheering for you every step of your way... Take care of yourself and come back to us fast... And... never forget... To just be yourself Because you're simply perfect Just the way you are... ...and very much loved, my dear friend... Love you, Darren March 28th, 2017

Your Better End

YOUR BETTER END To be To stare To contemplate To risk To dare Once and again To trust To leap A Jump of faith To fall To land No one can say To forgive To forget Or try again To breathe To love Feel whole and place The fears The doubts To rest and then To grow To become Your better end *** January 20, 2017

Prison Walls

From my self made
Prison walls
I look outside
And see the sun

The ocean breeze
Reaches me
I see the seagulls
Flying free

These hard and cold
Stone cell walls
Close around me
Cut my thoughts

This debilitating
Fear a feel
It's like a prison
Halting my dreams

I wanna fly
High in the sky
Like those seagulls
Without a fright

To reach beyond
This self made walls
To expand and become
More than my thoughts

I'll take a leap
Based on faith
I'll break those chains
And fly away

Hanging By a Thread - Collaboration With Darren White

HANGING BY A THREAD - COLLABORATION WITH DARREN WHITE
I felt my life hanging by a thread The tip of your sword piercing my heart My mind screamed words my mouth couldn't say The unfairness of it plain in the dark night And through it all the sharpness of your mind That once attracted me, like moths are drawn to flames Dance fiercely around, burn to ashes, Nothing remains but shallow husk, and tears Replacing trust that once shone bright Your deceitful words are now unveiled Your true nature open for all to contemplate You can't hide in the shadows anymore No more I say, enough of your cold-bloodedness So callous. My moth will be a butterfly; This crying creature of the night Will shed it's cocoon and step into the light And as is my right, I'll conquer the skies No more crawling for me I was born to fly High April 18th, 2017 By Darren White and Claudia Polydoro

Beautiful Angel

BEAUTIFUL ANGEL Beautiful angel Of huge and white wings Dream or delusion Reality or make believe Show me yourself Spread for me your wings Wrap me in your arms Surround me in safety Take me to the skies Whisper in my ears Things of heaven and earth Share with me your dreams Beautiful winged warrior Your scars show your strength They're your badges of honor For the many battles you went Brave angel of mercy Come and take my hand I can be the fighter for once While you regain your strength For I also have my wings My scars are proof of my fights I'm not as strong as you But I can hold my ground Rest your head on my lap Let me be your balm Share with me your burden In the morning we can fly *** March 15, 2017

Not a Fairy Tale

I crossed hell's fire with my innocence shattered

A wolf in sheepskin
Was the downfall of my dreams

From a pure and sweet bliss
I was thrown in a guilt's abyss

My childhood memories
Now were tainted forever

In my innocent child mind
I waited for my knight
To take me away from the pain I held inside
But there were no sword fights
Nor duels in the dawn

The wolf in sheepskin
Never paid for his sins

I was blamed for my hate
Because I couldn't tolerate
The ones who should defend me
Pleaded for my enemy

My books were my heaven
Their pages my sanctuary
Where I could lose myself
In their tales and happy endings

Time passes and memories fade
Never forgotten
Never forgiven

I still have my skeletons
Hidden in the closet
But I know I'm not the one to be blamed
For the sin was not mine

This wolf controlled my past
But I won't give him power over my future
Now my soul is bright
For it was purified in my fight

The Color Blue

I have a passion for the blue color
Dark blues like the deepest oceans
Or light ones as the brightest skies

Navy blues bring out the poet in me
And I meditate using a Lapis Lazuli
My protection spell is a teal circle of fire
And of course my wedding ring has a Sapphire

But that’s not all, mind you
I love my denim jeans of indigo blue
I just have to buy anything blue I see
From a peacock phone
To a cobalt TV

You can call me crazy
Or really eccentric
Since my car is a shiny blue electric

I still want to paint my hair
With all shades of blue
But I have to convince hubby first
To not put me in a straitjacket…
…UNLESS IT’S BLUE…

Butterflies of Beauty

BUTTERFLIES OF BEAUTY

Butterflies of beauty
Poetry in motion
Gorgeous little paintings
Flying thru the sky

Bored caterpillars
Sleeping on their cocoons
Amazing transformations
Happening inside

Little crawling creatures
Turning winged beauties
From rooted to the ground
To conquering the skies

Butterflies of beauty
Dreamland inspirations
Colors from the rainbow
With such great designs

Share with us your beauty
Queen of the perfection
Show us all your colors
Owner of the skies

Let Me Be Your Lighthouse

When the storm is over you
And you feel the ocean waves
Crashing and pushing you around
Let me be your lighthouse

When you feel your strength waning
And you can’t swim anymore
If the waves won’t let you float
Let me be your lighthouse

If you feel the rocks below
Cutting and hurting your tired body
And you think of letting go
Let me be your lighthouse

If the pain becomes too much
And the storm inside makes you sink
If you have no more hope
Let me be your lighthouse

Let me lend you my strength
For my light will show the way
To calm and peaceful oceans
Where you can rest and refrain

From sinking in the dark abyss
For my light will keep you afloat
It will keep the dangers at bay
Until you can reach the shore

Let me lend you my strength
Let me be your support rock
Until you can conquer the pain
Until you can defeat the storm

Then the strength you have inside
Will shine white and bright
Your light will join mine
And there will be two lighthouses

Like the Phoenix

Promises broken
Expectations crashed
Unfairness overflowing
My mind and chest

I need a new dream
To keep me going
I need light
to fulfill my chest

I'm shattered now
But I'll grab my pieces
And like the Phoenix
Reborn from the ashes

Cause i know i can
I've the strength in me
I just need this pain
To be in the past

Tomorrow will be
My new beginning
I'll dry my tears
I'll try my best

Cause I'm no quiter
That's not in me
Cause I'll fight
Until I reach success.
