I Love You

You'll always be my only,
Your beauty is so much my weakness.
Your smile is usually-
The only reason i end my days in happiness.
Your wonderful figure,
Added on to your spectacular look,
Makes me so eager-
To hold you in my arms...look,
I cannot keep this in my heart,
I can hide it no longer,
Because it really hurts,
As it stays the longer.
I don't think there's any better way,
That i could say this to you,
But i'll say it anyway,
I love you.

Remember Your Roots

Never forget where you came from,
As you walk in chains, and whips rain on your backs,
As you drag the chains, like beasts and dogs,
As you lie in cages, when the night falls,
As you are fed with leftovers, even that you fight for,
But remember that your mother bore and gave you life,
Remember that your land and colour gave you identity,
Never forget where you came from.

Hold on to life, you'll need every breath,
As you walk the hills, rocky and thorny bushes,
As you go down on your knees,to carry brutes on your backs,
Hold on to dear life, every step shall count,
As you tread the darkest forests, and walk the steepest terrains,
As you act as sacrificial lambs,to protect your masters-
Hold on..
Never forget where you came from.

When they bury you alive,
Remember the earth is your mother;
When they molest those of your blood,
Or act animal on you,
Remember the earth shall swallow them;
When they batter you for fun,
When they use you to satisfy their 'hunting',
Remember the earth watches your tears,
Never forget where you came from.

So like animals you match forth,
Keep on going like you're paid to survive;
As you sweat that of blood and tears as well,
Wipe them off and keep on going;
As you get exhausted and feel like quitting,
Drag yourself like it's good to live like this:
For a day shall come, and your legs shall be free,
A day shall come, you'll head these people,
A day shall come, you'll save those of your kind,
A day shall come, you'll regain to your kind, the lost glory
Never forget where you came from

Mothers' Day

Like a precious shell,
Out of the million,
Are you to me.
Of all the women,
Out of the umpteen,
You are the best.
My one precious stone,
I shall treassure you,
Like my precious shell,
I shall cherish you.

Nobody wrote a letter to God,
Proposing of where to be born,
By who and to what people.
The things that you've done me,
Have made me believe i wrote one,
And i chose one like no other.
If i were to be reborn,
I would still choose you;
I would always choose you.

You Can Dream Again

When life seems tough,
Be tough as well
When life takes from you,
Add up more
When life reaps you apart,
Hold yourself together.
When your dreams hit a wall,
Try again
When your efforts fall and crack,
Pick the pieces
When your future seems blurred,
Look beyond the blur
When you're almost giving up,
Seek God's intervention
And because you're strong,
Remember this:
You can dream again.
(inspired by Pepe Minambo's book,'You Can Dream Again)

Inside a Dreamer's Eyes

I woke up wanting a seat on the throne,
I folded my sleeves, and took to the road
I'll journey on until i reach
I'll stand the storms,i'll bear the heat
i'll skip the pits and watch my feet
And if the worst comes to me
And wake up in a pit
I'll drill my way to the palace's pit
Using my fingers, and teeth as drills.

I shall build my steps
To get my throne
And if the worst comes to me
And the ground be too hard to drill
I shall make my seat,in the palace's pit
I shall mould servants, and soldiers still
I shall make my palace, with my arms and feet
I shall set my wall,so high and tall
I shall pray to God,to bless my throne
I shall take my seat, and hold the realm.
My throne shall die
When loneliness dawns
But hope,i shall hold on to
And never let it fail
So i shall make my bed and lay on it
Rats and squirells to warm my night
I close my eyes and see my throne...
I woke up having a seat on the throne
Happiness is all my royale.

Matters of the Heart

The letters of the alphabet,
The creation of you,
The name i whispher to myself everytime,
Everytime i'm in need of your presence with me.

How wonderful it is,
To have someone that you hold so dear,
As if the world is going to end the next minute,
(Though it never ends)
To have someone that loves you through seasons,
Be of sadness or joy;laughter or fights,
To have someone that stands by to lend a helping hand,
Everytime that you are in need of one,
To have someone that fully understands you,
And appreciates even the littlest things you do.

Your joy is my joy,
And so is your frown my own.
I will love you till you stop me,
And tell me the page is full,so flip another.
I will hold you so tight to my heart,
Like a baby clings to the mother,
Because every single second that i am with you,
Is equals an eternity of my happiness

Rebirth of Hope

Hope
From the day God moulded man,
To the moment He gave him breath,
And still this hope,
Doesn't age abit.

Hope
The one thing that holds the hinges,
Hinges to all greatness;
The one thing that fails to see-
Failure as a calamity,rather a chance..

Hope
That you may achieve all in life,
All desires of your soul appeased,
That you may learn to accept defeat,
Recollect yourself and strive to achieve...

Hope
Even inside a python's fangs,
Hope
That you shall see tomorrow,
Hope
Even when your feet are dead,
Hope
That your hands act as feet.
If there's one thing you should never tire to do,
Is to hope,
Because it is within every soul,
Just find where yours is hidden,
And never put it back,
But always hold on to it-hope!

Goodbye

They say love is madness,
Then i should run and scream nude,
I gave all that was in me,
But i guess it was not good enough.
Love turned sour,
Sweet feelings turned bitter,
The joy in me turned off,
Cruelly,unlike streetlamps,
For they would atleast warn..
Atleast not hit like the Titanic,
I guess my love was not good enough.
Live life,your life
I wish you all the best,in your hive
May you prosper in happiness,no guilt
I guess this is a goodbye,maybe farewell
My love was not good enough.

Dear Dreamers:

From the moon's apex,
Clings a breath of change,
Under the sun's torment,
Breathe elements of change.
You who are like I,
Who see tomorrow-
when it's today,
Unlock the concealed package,
To a brighter day to come,
So that we may see and smile,
Tomorrow and days after

I Shall Wait For You

let the sun rise,
let it set in the west.
let the wind blow,
let it shake and rattle to the brow,
i shall wait for you.
as the seasons roll like a mill,
as love pearches in like a drill,
my love for you shall never change,
and even if our worlds will change,
i shall wait for you.
