Ode To Frank

Knew I'd be sad when this day came,
But it didn't stop me all the same,
knew it wouldn't be the same,
But I'm still glad that I still came.

You always lightened the night,
You knew how to make it right,
But you didn't have a choice, 
But you did make us rejoice.

You will always be missed,
By those that you blessed,
By being our friend,
Right through to the end.

I Am Off To Sleep

The sun has gone to rest
The moon has taken its place
All birds are in their nest
The rats have run their race
Tis time for me to sleep
No time left to waste
As darkness begins to creep
I am off to sleep

May I Dream of You

Night has come as before,
The sun has gone to far off shore.
Time for me to head for bed,
time to rest my weary head.
No time for anything any more,
as sleep consumes me like before.
My eyes have shut no longer aware,
and thoughts of you filter through.
Pleasant dreams then do come true,

Cough cough splutter splutter
Wheezing breath with every word I utter

Stop Hitting Snooze

Time for me to get up
Even if I don't want to wake up
Need to stop hitting snooze
Only so many minutes to lose 
Before I'll have to be in a rush
Or I'll never catch the bus
Time is slowly fleeting
Sure five more minutes for sleeping

Listen to the night
Dark with no light
Sounds in the distance
Without any consistence 
Noises they are infusing
While I lay here musing

I should be sleeping
But my mind is still seeping
Goodnight now no peeping
Till morning comes creeping
