Trinity

I cast my spirit to the heavens tonight
Praying that someone special will see my light
He’ll hear my name and whispers of white, calling on him and his Holy might
His Trinity will tell him I’m the one and lay before him a path of light
He’ll forge ahead throughout the night, slashing fears in a sword-less fight
He’ll find me waiting in truth’s delight
He’ll hold me close and love me tight and God will say “My two, the time is right, to have and to hold on this very night”

Twilight

Life gives us the greatest of joys and the greatest of sorrows, many yesterdays and limited tomorrows
We’re given the gift of laughter and the gift of tears, valorous perseverance throughout the years
We embrace the light and darkness we fear, but without the twilight of sapphire we cannot grow, my Dear
We understand happiness for its message is clear, but suffering can makes us question if our God is still near
We strive to know the how, what, when and whys, the questions we ask to beacon an answers’ arise
But sometimes silence falls on our deepest cries, our questions go unanswered and we’re non-less the wise
If we open our hearts and invite truth into our lives, we’ll find what we need in our Holy Father’s eyes
He offers comfort and peace with extraordinary love, blessings and grace from His home in heaven high above
Your suffering He does embrace, so call on Him when you need His Holy strength, He’ll give it to you freely, for YOU are blessed and He loves you ever so deeply

Thought

But I thought...

I thought, I thought, I thought, but...

Now I cry.

Truth

Your heart said goodbye to me
It told me you were done

It said prepare yourself
For the ending has now begun

My insides collapsed, crying wait! I'm not ready
I'm not ready to be done

But your eyes said Lindsey there's nothing here for you
We told you, you aren't the one

I wrapped my arms around you, begging to feel safe,
But your body said let go, I no long offer a warm embrace

I touched your chest and I touched your hand
Hoping to feel something, anything and maybe understand

But you looked at me and offered silence and emotional proof

That here's nothing left to question and it's time I face the truth

You're heart said goodbye to me
It told me you were done
