Where Have You Gone, My Love

Where have you gone?
I am lonely and forlorn
We swore of not parting ever
You've vanished in a wink, what’s the matter?

We promised to be together in rain and sunshine
The sun and moon be eclipsed but you’ll be mine
We are made for each other, you said
You brought me the gift of roses red

Where are those promises, where are those days?
The games in moonlight and seashore plays
The sky of my life is now overcast
I am bewildered, I am aghast

Lost are those whispers, lost are those songs
The replay of past moments my crying heart longs
My happiness has withered, my joys are gone
My heart is a desert where thorns have grown

Memory Lane

Lonely hearts roam in memory lane
Events that are dear to heart pass like links of a chain
A window in the past opens for breeze cool
A sweet fragrance of love perfumes the soul

The awesome serenity retrieves the loving moments
Hand in hand with your love you walk
To your heart’s content you talk
You feel the lavender of each other’s breath

To fret for the one parted is in vain
Just enjoy the bliss of your memory lane

Bleeding Heart

Parting is such sweet sorrow
One that hasn’t tasted sorrow knows not
Pain and anguish are gifts lucky few got
So why this bleeding heart

An old friend gifted me a plant in a pot
The plant named as Bleeding Heart
I admired the gesture although my house provided
No room for two bleeding hearts

The existing bleeding heart in my chest
Was enough for me to endure
A cancer for which there isn’t any cure
Your heartlessness and my fidelity at its best

O My Life

O my life! Change thy colour not
O my life! Escort me just as I walk
Why do you abandon me every day?
Why my eyes don’t stop raining day after day?
O my life! Change thy colour not

Why do the improbabilities knock at my door every day?
Why do they unbolt the doors of their own dwelling?
Despair breathes in my breaths every moment
My heart houses the world of suspicion
O my life! Stop the speeding chariot of time

Why do you abandon me every day?
Why my eyes don’t stop raining every day?
What have I done to deserve this?
Why is my soul deprived of a profound bliss.?
O my life! Change thy colour not.

The Splendid Times

Strain not your eyes in the darkness of loneliness
For the deserter has forsaken you
His face is lost in the whirlwind of time
You feel nostalgic about the past splendid times.

Your craving for bygone days to return
Those moonlit nights, those captivating days
Are a history and history doesn’t repeat itself
A fallen dry leaf can’t be put back to the branch

Turn the corner and shed the awesome memories
Stop the rivulet from flowing through your eyes.
Silence the sound of your crying heart
Spare your soul from the memory´s dart.

In Desperation

Have I been forsaken?
This thought is tormenting me
What have I done to deserve this?
I always loved you and cherished your company

Suddenly the sky of life is overcast
My heart is tearing apart
You were the solace of my heart
My life is nothing without you

I hear your whispers in lonely nights
The fragrant breeze brings your scent
The moonlit nights silhouette our loving days
I see your image all around me

From this ecstasy I come to the world of reality
You are gone and with you my everything
My ears crave to hear your voice
My tearful eyes long to see you

Come my love and give meaning to my life
Spare me the anguish, throes and strife

My Life

A span of emptiness and nothing else
                  Boundless like the sky
Not far in the past and for considerable time
Life was like a garden, roses and eglantine

This desert has not even a mirage.
I am like a grain grinded between two parts
Of stones of sky and earth
         High like a mountain, insurmountable

Sucked me even of power to think
Prohibited for me like a hard drink
The memories of the past may bring solace
My old album, an escape from life, frozen in time.
                                ---

Howling Wilderness

In the silence of pitch dark night of loneliness
A sweet melodious voice calling me from far
My heart craves to go there
The disabling shackles of loyalty stop me

Call me not, I’m not free
I wish I was a bird
Free floating in the horizon
Chirping and singing the Hymn of God

These killing bondages of life
My soul imprisoned in the cage of values
The waves of adversities rocking the boat of hopes
My body a cold storage of my desires

O caller! Stop calling me
Your melody enchants me
But I have jobs undone.

The Bliss of Solitude

My solitude is exhilarating, O my love
It brings the melody of your voice and the caress of your lips
In my solitude under the rubbles of separation lies
Blowing Jasmin and roses of your hug

Engulfing me with the warmth of your breath
Slowly burning the fragrant incense
Far from the horizon drips
The dew of your delightful eyes

How I feel your loving hands
On the cheek of my heart
In the morning of our parting
I feel the close of the day of woes

Delightfully ushers the night of our reunion
How awesome and captivating are these images, my love|
