Nine Dear Souls

Nine Dear Souls

Nine dear souls went to worship and pray,
They all met Jesus the very same day.
They showed God's love and embraced a stranger,
One full of hate and so much anger.

Nine souls with Jesus so happy and free,
Families and Nation with so much grief.
Our hearts are broken and may never mend,
Such evil and hatred, will there be no end.

We ask if God has removed His hand,
But, why oh God, we're a Christian land.
In truth, it's your children who forced you away,
Forgive us Lord, and with us stay.

Fill our hearts, oh Lord, with love for all people,
May we all come together, under one steeple.
With hearts and hands joined together,
Let's wipe out hatred and evil forever.

I will honor nine lives by the way I live mine,
And teach my grand's with the passage of time.
One people, one race, regardless of color,
What matters most is love for each other.

Happy 3rd Birthday Amelia Jane

Happy 3rd Birthday Amelia Jane

Your eyes are the loveliest shade of blue,
Cerulean I think, oh yes, that will do;
Honey gold hair, a pretty little smile,
I love you so much, this could take a while.

I love to snuggle and hold you tight,
Watch you sleep when spending the night.
You’re such a big helper making pancakes for supper,
They’re the best; of course, you’re in charge of the butter.

And, after a bath comes jumping on the bed,
You jump and giggle till your face is red.
Playing with play dough is such great fun,
I sure am tired when the day is done.

I cherish the time we spend together,
Throwing rocks in the pond or collecting feathers.
Getting hot donuts at Krispy Kreme,
A cheeseburger at McDonalds, and a tasty ice cream.

Thank you for showing me the world through your eyes,
A world that’s still a great big surprise.
Thank you for loving me, my precious little child,
I see it in your face and your sweet little smile.

My, how you’ve grown in just three years,
The sweet things you say, is music to my ears.
“I wuv you PePaw” keeps a smile on my heart,
And gives me delight when we’re apart.

So, today, we celebrate birthday number three,
You’re surrounded by friends, a loving family.
Through the noise and laughter of this joyous day,
I’ll be watching my girl, and silently pray.

All my love,

PePaw
