Guilty Conscience

A tortured soul,
full of guilt and sorrow,
God help me through the night,
so i can awake tomorrow.
I need to find peace,
I can't seem to clear my head,
it's forgiveness i seek,
forgiveness from the dead.
It's driving me crazy,
It's down right madness!
it's killing me slowly,
burning tears of sadness.
I cant move on,
cant leave it behind,
it replays over and over
inside of my mind.
A lovers young life,
gone in the blink of an eye,
it all happened so quickly,
I didn't even get to say goodbye.

My Military Man

Loving a man in the military
it's such an honor to hold
at times its quite scary
the fear for the brave and the bold
It's heat breaking being so far away
its tragic not waking up to you everyday
missing the warmth of your smile
how it once brightened this dark room
The lonely feelings of exile
once in awhile we all consume
even though it can be rough
i'll smile through my tears
for my man is tough
with him i have no fears
this man is my hero
stationed so far away
risking his life
so we can wake in peace everyday
so i sincerely thank you
for everything you do
and where ever your at tonight
just know that i love you

Teenage Life

A sweet little child,
only 16 years old,
never did any wrong,
always did as told.

Homework always done,
in bed by ten,
an honor roll student,
until she met Ben!

Her hormones ran crazy,
grades started to slip,
didn't care about anything,
even school she would skip.

Her mom got angry,
took away her phone,
grounded her for a week,
told her to leave Ben alone!

She didn't understand,
so the child rebelled,
starting fights in class,
until she got expelled.

Partying with friends,
drinking and smoking pot,
her mom caught her,
and gave her one last shot.

She ruined her chance,
she could have changed,
but now a new living system,
has been arranged.

She's in a group home,
still acting out,
she don't understand,
how this all came about.

She was so innocent,
this now troubled child,
a straight A student,
turned bad and wild.

Only God Can Judge Me

Piercings and tattoos,
they say I'm damned to hell,
gay and proud,
an angle who fell.
I drink and smoke,
but I've never hurt a soul,
I've made my own bed,
ill reap what i sow.
You judge me,
based on looks alone,
tell me I'm forbidden ,
from a heavenly home.
I don't steal or cheat,
I've never told a lie,
still you choose to abuse me,
for what reason? why?
Am I hurting you?
please do tell,
you treat me as though,
I should be in some jail.
I've never done anyone wrong,
I'm respectful and kind,
I treat everyone as equals,
so how can you be so blind?

Game Over

One last time,
one more chance,
I told myself no,
to this endless romance.
Its good for awhile,
but always ends in tears,
starts with a smile,
then the love disappears.
You start to get mean,
thinking ill cower away,
but not this time,
not today.
Hit me again,
we'll fight to the death,
this will only end,
when you take your last breath.
So say goodbye
to your silent nights,
and say hello
to these violent fights,
I cant take it anymore,
I want to be free,
I wont back down,
until your life's a memory.

Dancing Disaster

I'm the worst dancer,
this is not my calling,
i have two left feet,
so i'm always falling!
I trip and stumble,
looking like a fool,
everyone else gets it,
they just look so cool.
I tried the tango,
and broke someones toe,
don't even ask about ballet!
that was quite a show.
Broke my leg moon-walking,
twisted my wrist doing cheer,
sprained my neck with the walts,
dancing has become my fear!
But still I love it,
this dangerous fun,
but its not my calling,
so now i'm done!

American Hero

Drop down,
hit the ground,
you hear the sound,
your enemy bound.
Stand up,
lock and load,
be careful now,
everythings about to explode.
No sudden movements,
stay as quiet as can be,
don't give away your position,
remember, blind men cant see.
Now slowly creep forward,
toward the dangers ahead,
try not to show,
the fear and the dread.
Inside your freaking out,
as you enter enemy territory,
and this feeling cant compare,
to any classic war story.
Your hurt and sad,
you feel all alone,
but buck up young soldier,
for soon you'll be home.
It might not be,
the home were hoping for,
but heaven's nice,
and Gods waiting at the door.
So clear your head,
don't think anymore,
you'll need all your senses,
to win this war.

Thanks Soup

Life without soup?
Oh i couldn't go on!
such a lovely group,
for those poetically drawn.

A safe place,
to read and share,
no judgmental face
to criticize and glare.

I have no more fright,
for in soup i'm confiding ,
thanks for this safe site,
that you are providing.

Changes In Life

My life is changing,
I have no objection,
my fate is rearranging,
in a new direction.

I'm scared and nervous,
that's to be expected,
but he's in the service,
so i'll be protected.

I must say im excited,
to see a forign place,
but ill truely be delighted,
to see his handsome face.

Don'T Let Me Go

Hold me in your arms,
never let me go,
tell me you love me,
or i will never know.

Kiss me softly,
look me in the face,
pause for a moment,
enjoy this sweet embrace.

Tell me your mine,
and i'll forever be yours,
together were the key,
that'll open all locked doors.

I'll stand by your side,
through thick and thin,
for love is a game,
we both deserve to win.

So keep me safe,
please hold me tight,
because love is a candle,
and we are the light!
