Wrapped Little Body - Cut-Up Poem

Other violence this world
There human flames ceased
Sick swan six
With circles some melancholy
Doctor failure some

Different universe copy soul
Wrapped little body respect
About shoulders stopped arms
Flash doubles wife

Early patient
Stopped her crown
Simple modern
Loop provided effect
While hate challenge simple.

[This was my first attempt at the "cut-up technique", a surrealist technique coined by many early surrealists, including William S. Burroughs, an obvious influence on my work.]

Fiction For An Ocean-Amputee

"To my belief.." Said the Satyr, perched in an osseous throne,
"The clouds are crumbling! The ocean is drowning! Creatures are inside of our soil!".
And since their heads lay spilled on the floor, it's time for a change of tone!",
Tryptamine fiction fell from their tongues, as they polished our brains with coconut oil.

We swallowed tales of ghosts in the sky, we coughed up our ears, our hearts and our eyes,
We're hearing voices from burning trees, we're watching surgeons dissect the sea.
"We wouldn't dare dream of thinning the oil, we're yours to use, forever remain loyal,
We're being devoured by acrididae, we crave your consent and absolvitory".

We started to wonder, started to conspire, but they stitched our lips with telephone wire,
They wrung serotonin out from our glands, they drizzled hot glue all over our hands.
"Listen to this, and it listens to you, don't doubt what you read, 'cuz all of it's true",
Our bodies were layered with aluminium foil, and our blood still flows with this cancerous oil.

Cotton Candy At the Carousel

The moonlight beamed on our whitened teeth as we wrote our names in the methylone stars,
Raspberry pixels leaked out of our cheeks as we covered our lungs in black velvet tar.
The wind blew your hair into an endless twirl as we dissolved our tonsil's confectionery swirl,
Red liquorice gloss dropped from your lips as the lime citronella cracked us like whips.

Analogies blend in the amethyst air as we painted our nerves with azure and cerise,
Rainbows fell from a digital sky as we glared at the sun with kaleidoscope eyes.
We poured all our closets into canals, we fed fake horses inside carousels,
We wolfed down our thoughts with our knives and our forks and washed it all down with
champagne.

Circles and squares drift out of your mouth as I turn to a voiceless skeleton,
Fingernails ran from my candy-coat smile as i breathe beside hollow mannequins.
Horizons slid from out of our sleeves, we're pasting sunsets behind forest trees,
We've cut down the curtains, we've locked all the doors, and now it's time to swallow the keys.

Figments - Passages - Part 1

Frozen rain fell from the pane of her window as she woke to the sound of whispering
voices:
"Daphne! Wake up! Get out of your bed, walk spiralling stairs to the doors in your
head!"
Coral and iris then glittered the night, like a shattered shimmer of fluorescent lights,
She stared at herself like a wax crocodile, with emerald eyes and a chainsaw smile.

Glistening tinsel wrapped her christmas tree teeth, like flowers and sorrow would clasp
to grief
Firework's flares scattered showers from her eyes, technicolor branches grew out from
her spine
Burnt orange clouds bled onto sangria sky, below swam a sea of lime cactus wine
Figures like trees shivered panics from afar, a glowing haze cast from morning soaked
stars

Her senses tingled, her concerns split in half, the only sound in her head was her
animated laugh
Sprays and leaks spewed from her oil spill hair as she watched the wind curl in the
arylide air
With emerald eyes, and a chainsaw smile, suspended she strolled through euphoria's
isles
Floating like a ghost, in a crystal lit ocean, her eyelids closed, like sunsets in slow
motion...

Coquelicot/Scarlet

Nauseous, she collects glossy-eyed dolls, scattered behind bones, and bipolar holes,
Transparent beach sand poured from her skin, until the harsh neon sun sucked her in.
She let the dolls pull her down with them, they pulled on the wires inside of her beak,
They modified her from her face, all the way down to her feet.

They fed her for a while, and kept her in a static sea,
Watched the black trickle out of her spine, gave her plastic ecstasy.
Her chemicals began to blend, in a cloud of dopamine bliss,
It always made her purr, only to repress a sickening hiss.

Her circuitry glitched, her eyes read "Out Of Order",
She left the static, told the dolls it was all over.
Coquelicot ran from her pores, as she emerged from the shore,
Her star-lit grin distorts the sky, alone, she now watches oceans thaw.

Cake Wakes Up

As an icing dribbled dress drips bubblegum blue, caramel clouds bleed along the
chocolate sky. Black forest trees sway gently in the breeze, as she bathed in a
pool of raspberry pie.

Cake awoke under a pile of candles, and blew out the flames with her peppermint
breath. The stars shone brightly upon her crystal lit hair, as she scraped out
the filling for all that was left.

She searched for desserts, for sponges and cream, in hopes that her adventures
were far from her dreams. Hives of honey housed lamington bees, while red velvet
cats sat sleeping as they pleased.

She nibbled, she munched, she gobbled down her lunch, for she’d starved herself
famished, she’d even missed brunch!

A Burnt Evening Waltz

When the wind breaks the silence and the grains hit the glass, yesterday is forgotten and thrown into the past..
Sobbing violins will soundtrack the streets, with the crackling of hair and distant door creaks.
Rainbows of rust shall cast cloaks of iron onto a sun absent sky and a blackening horizon.
Gardens bloom spines from roots of confusion, for all the spineless decisions and a life of delusion.

Swing's sing a melody from an ash covered park as carousels spin emptiness in the burnt, lonely dark..
Fragments stream alleys in a solitude waltz, of needles and wire, of powder and bolts.
Flushed are the landscapes of their canvas colours and wrung are the stars of their luminous drip,
As moments of silence seep through in and out, hope is engulfed by terror licked lips.

As the bitterness of winter chills night into a coma, glimmers of summer are lost in a blizzard.
Frost covered towers scrape the air in a screech forming patterns of anguish on the skeletal beach.
Moans of misfortune fill the meadows and the forests into a charcoal haze of sarcastic mist.
While trees lay strewn and smoke climbs the sky, ruins haunt remains of evening's burnt.

In an age of the ending, no leader nor law, where war turns to peace, and peace turns to war.
Shattered are the memories of lives once lived, puzzled and scattered, and tossed to the wind.
When the clappers in the bells have wrung their last ring, angelic choirs will no longer sing,
When the mouths on the mountains have sighed their last sigh, they'll inhale the trees, they'll drink the oceans dry.

Awakepanicdreamcalm

Photons fell from your neck in a luminous fluorescent blur,
You woke up early only to find you've left for a while.
Those premonitions in your head will repeat, they will recur,
While all your brittle dreams lay on the floor, strangled in a pile.

Every mirror smashed itself at the slightest reflection of your face,
The shards laughed a thousand times as you trembled like an echo.
Your conscience split itself in two, your memories have been replaced,
You watched your pupils duplicate, you watched the scleral glow.

Tentacles draped your dress like a defect Cinderella,
Your colouring ran crystalline synthetic blue.
You've divided your breath with a mirage forever,
Welcome yourself to the new you.

The Crystal Cage

It sparkles while you sleep, streaming ribbons through your breath,
Distilled so brightly, glaring lightly yet so neat.
Like acres covered in forest, it blankets your desires,
Barring great cold crystal arms in the form of façades.

A brilliant glitter haze sheds blinding smothered comfort,
As sketches turn to stairwells and seconds turn to years.
With a tossed set of keys, and a locket for a heart,
Wandering the crystal, sifting through the shine,

Patiently you wait, facing only time..

Edge of Black, Edge of Grey

Scrape me from the floor before you curse these blackened paths,
I’ll throw your name to the sky as my eyes bubble under the sun.
Why must we wait when we’ve been at this for so long?
My chest caves in like contently crossed fingers..

I can never tell how far we’ve wandered once sleep sets in.
Forever in loop, forever we circle,
Gnawing at the ropes only grinds down our teeth.
(Only accepted once the veil has dropped)
Like a piano missing teeth, we watch them grow back,
but their roots have been removed, their strings have all been chewed.
I can never tell where we are once the singing has stopped..

As I rolled out my arms like red carpets to the entrance,
Rejected, they spring back like furious coils.
The spider paparazzi are now knots in my hair,
And before I could pull, the syrup of their glue had eaten it’s way through,
climbed down my skin, and they grind at my bones with satisfied grins.
