The yellow leaves of Kaj

Yellow Leaves of Kaj

Thus, I learn to be glad in this room.
The Chilghoza of the mind is black but the light is blue,

If you search for green leaves, you will find yellow.
Those monsters can't eat you, but will easily devour you.

The light breeze of thought is mixing with the blue and the black breeze,
Do not stay in dark places, so those monsters won't come back.

In the celestial realm of my rare creation,
Where do the thoughts or the emotions find their great formation?
I release a map of words and rhyme,
Calling upon the hidden mine.

The Kaj in my mind standing tall and strong,
Their branches slowly reach out as I go along.
Shadowy Silhouettes against that one midnight sky,
Reflect on my thoughts when time floats by.

But among this larger world, I've spun,
A grasp of blue emerges, but my work is still not done.
It affects the depths of my heart and soul,
Revealing the beauty that only Herat holds.

In this single light so pure and clear,
A touch of yellow feeling appears.
For if green leaves I wish to find,
Yellow thoughts will help me leave this fear behind.

But I must beware, in this series of thoughts,
As underground monsters may seek to rot.
They cannot harm me, only of this I know,
But upon preying on my lightened spirit, they'll try to grow.

They’re so long, ugly claws
reach out to grab the face of Mardom
and spare the dead,

A breeze of unintended bad thoughts whispers through the right ear,
Mixing the educated and uneducated with the same level of care.
We embrace these prohibitions as our guide,
Finding peace, in a place where we don't reside.

So we break free from the monster's grip,
Starting with a meaningful trip.
And as the light covers my every sense,
I appreciate this journey and the experiences it comes with.

For in the new life I have, education lies,
Where the cries of the Afghan girls are heard as sighs.
