The Sun Shines On the Righteous

The sun shines on the righteous,
But on the unrighteous too.
So those who aren’t aware yet,
Can know that they are loved too.

The righteous are not perfect,
Hence, they do make mistakes.
However, they love their fiends
To spur their hearts to remake.

Their model is the loving God,
Who gives us all the rain,
The moon, the stars and yes the Son,
So happy all remain.

The righteous are not quick to judge,
They wish to shine their light,
On those who are the victims
Of the dark world and its might.

To all, the glorious trumpet sounds
Announcing God’s Goodwill,
Who accepts us sinners if we repent,
And begin to do His will.

Agape

A loving person
Gives unselfishly
Allows for error
Patiently seeks good in others
Emits peace all around

Keeping Contentment

Although humanity continues to be enslaved to corruption,
life's small pleasures seen in creation
inspire a sense of wonder and awe.
Nature's tenacity and resilience
are ours to imitate.

The Music Family

Merry trumpet, sassy saxophone
Stand poised in the quaint jazz room,
waiting on their music men
to begin their heartfelt tunes.

Bold drums awaiting patiently
For slim sturdy wooden sticks,
to beat rhythm on their tummies
and give all fun loving kicks.

Great tuba's vigorous chiming voice
so deep and oh so grand!
Brings heart and soul and humor
To the jolly good brass band.

Round banjo with its steely strings
gets plucked and strummed with joy
As it sounds those fun and lively tunes
that we hum and so enjoy.

Majestic piano's harmonic keys,
Tap melodious magnificient airs
Reverberating ubiquitously,
By the maestro graced with flair.

In delightful unison they permeate our souls,
These musical masters and their wares.
Give glory to our "Ultimate Composer",
Whose creations are so debonair.

Gone

Gone are the demons, gone are the gangs
No more mafia in their ranks.

Gone are the criminals, don't need police.
Don't need lawyers, those reformed make peace.

Money is extinct, no more bankers or casinos.
No more insurance or debts.

All illnesses healed, no more pain
No more hospitals, no more patients.

No more death, no more funerals
No more hearses, no more morticians.

No more war, no more weapons
No more armies, no more casualties.

No more porn, no more trafficking
No more dealers, no more slaves.

No more pollution, no more drought.
No more poverty, no more poor.

No more fear, no more hate,
No more heartaches, no more evil.

Love all around!
When the Prince of Peace rules the earth.

School Days

There was a young teacher named Spade,
who taught like a preacher dismayed.
The pupil's delight
to put up a fight
did cause him to screech till he swayed.

Now one of the students named Chad,
then gathered what courage he had
to give Spade advice
and make him think twice
about his harsh method so bad.

They all were surprised the next day,
when Spade then allowed them to play.
He'd taken great heed,
was friendly indeed,
and all are still happy today.

God's War

Evil all around
Wicked encircle the good
God sends his angels

Prince of Peace arrives
Fiery flames from heaven
All armies destroyed

Tanks guns and missiles
Broken to bits and pieces
Strewn about the earth

Human rule ended
Kingdom of Heaven prevails
Righteous ones remain

Pure hearts prepare Earth
Welcoming resurrected
Rejoicing with God

Listen To Discipline

What do you do when you receive correction?
Remain haughty then scramble in another direction?
The wise ones won't shun it, but face it with courage
To change their ways although they might suffer.

The end result is oh so pleasing,
Clothing maturity is oh so appeasing.
Who needs discipline? Don’t we all?
The humble embrace it to shield from a fall.

The Power of Prayer

What prayers does God answer? For what should we pray?
God's Son clearly taught us to pray in this way:
Not for riches, not for glory, not for selfish gain,
But for God’s Heavenly Kingdom and to honor His Name.

God says He will help us and give us the strength,
To endure life’s hardships and remain in the faith.
The joy that we feel when God's hand we can see,
Is the most wonderful feeling that fills us with glee.

Yes, prayer is a privilege we surely should cherish,
To stay close to Him who wants not that we perish.

Sandy Saves Dandy Randy

There was an old codger named Randy
Who rolled on the beach and got sandy.
T'was there he did sleep,
And ne'er did he weep,
So sure that his life was just dandy.

Along came a lady named Sandy
Who wanted so much to help Randy
To soften his heart,
She played a big part,
And stopped him from drinking his brandy.

Then Randy got quickly awake,
So stunned when he saw his mistake.
He thought no one cared
Because no one dared
To love him for his own name's sake.

He quickly got up from his stupor
And started to be a good trooper.
He went to help others
Who didn’t have mothers,
and now his life's work is just super.
