Christopher Cummings Poem
Depression
_________________
Since, I turned into a grown-up.
I've Been Securing My Scars B/W These Papers
My Mind Has Become The Reservoir Of Broken Thoughts
I'm just a sad person with beautiful pictures.
I Wish I Could Cry Under The Rain So No One Notices My Tears
I Am A Warrior Of War In My Head
A Survival of Many Suicidal Fights
This Is How the World Has Turned Me
Into the Nightmare of My Own Dreams
Something That I Never Believed I Could Be
Even my body no longer wants my soul within.
My Smile Is Just A Symbol Of Pain
I've Lost Something That Can't Be Regained
This Is What Happens When You Chop Breakfast In The Morning
From A Chef That Sells Relationship Poison
My thoughts had drowned in the pool of alcohol.
So My Mind Had Inflated My Liver
I'm invisible, even in a broken mirror.
On This Vehicle Of Life, I No Longer Want To Be A Passenger.
