Constanza - a Dangerous Game
A Dangerous Game Did we play a dangerous game? Thinking it a silly affair, That we might find some comfort there. Following desires that inflamed, Leading us on with certain stride High Passion our uncertain guide. Shaping, in time, whom we became, Setting aside those friends we knew. Without thought our ambitions grew Not knowing we could not reclaim Our loss; leaving our dreams behind. Though we searched we would never find Ourselves; nor pass the way we came. Our fate was sealed by our own hand. Was this the future we had planned? Did we play a dangerous game? Following desires that inflamed, Shaping, in time, whom we became. Not knowing we could not reclaim Ourselves; nor pass the way we came. 11/18/2017 For contest 'Constanza' by Craig Cornish Checked with 'Howmanysyllables.com
