The Rainbow Fable
He was a leprechaun who wore a silly shamrock hat He incessantly counted golden coins by day, as he lazily sat For a tiny fellow his belly had grown dangerously fat He paid no mind, " Can you imagine that?" One day a scant emaciated green colored lad wearily came close requested from said leprechaun a coin to buy some toast "These Golden Coins Belong to Me," the leprechaun did boast Sullenly, the scant lad traveled further down the coast By and by , a day or two came to pass When a slight orange freckle faced little lass did appear, she spoke of her hopeful desire on this Howling Frigid Day, to sit by his Warm fire "BE ON YOUR WAY, orange lass," his violent shout Silently, the lass walked on along her chosen route The next day as the sun leisurely inched its way up beyond the bushes, he spied a severely dehydrated pup who Wailed a Deafening Resounding Howl "Off with You," the leprechaun angrily growled Seemed like an eternity, but only a fortnight had come to pass The severely gaunt lad, dehydrated pup and visibly chilled lass As if summoned, congregated in a four leaf clover green grass Surprisingly, the hungry lad had a huge water infused canteen He gladly shared with the small thirsty pup, ....to intervene Ironically, the freckle faced lass was carrying plentiful seeds and beans Joyfully, from her pockets, she fed the hungry lad, happy to share her meager means No longer a coincidence the satiated lad and pup, ...who was full of warm fur Purposely, gleefully Jumped Up and cordially, lovingly Hugged her. Alas, the orange, freckle faced lass was warmed to her core It was evident a long lasting friendship would.endure. Backtracking the land, each fulfilled heart was quite sure about teaching the greedy leprechaun what friendship was for. Upon reaching the place where the leprechaun did dwell Who could have guessed how this creatures belly would swell. In the place where the leprechaun had previously sat Remained only a remnant of a very silly shamrock hat . That fat, greedy leprechaun who turned them away Whom they cheerily hoped their tale would gently sway Well,... it seems his Bloated Belly had Viscerally Exploded! The trio hesitantly picked up his silly shamrock hat Brimming inside were glistening gold coins, ...It Was Literally Loaded! Today a caring green male, a freckle faced orange hued lass and a gentle hound Live in a land of plenty, where a double rainbow touches the soft ground. They share with many creatures of various colors, from worlds all around and talking animals add a delightful welcome sound. Some refer to it as the translucent Gaelic Rainbow Bridge all share multicolored hues of a vividly glowing rainbow wee ones can be found sliding down the colors just beyond the ridge. 2/27/2017
